A quick little vent about The Matrix. Yes, it was a very original film (well, kinda…there’s another movie that escapes my mind but I liked that one quite a bit and it might’ve come before The Matrix).
Anyhow, everybody went crazy over the one scene where Neo dodges the bullet by doing the limbo. Looking back on the technology available at that time…the brothers made it way more complex than they needed to make it. They didn’t need still cameras, normal movie cameras would have sufficied and they could’ve used even fewer cameras since they admitted that computer animation was used in the scene.
Utter waste of money if you ask me. That said, I will post my DVD purchasing schedule for the next couple of months tonight.
